In March 2004, three recruiters decided that they'd had enough of the traditional recruitment model. Having worked for a large group for several years, they felt there was room in the market for a much more stimulating company - one that was based on quality, honesty and an exacting fit to customer requirements.

These three wanted to provide a service that was more akin to that of a sports or theatrical agent and chose interim project management as an area to begin such an enterprise.

In 5 years, Practicus has expanded from its initial members to 65 staff. Furthermore, the turnover has rocketed from a standing start to a turnover of £33.3 million in 2008. It has also expanded from project management into complementary disciplines connected with business change - specifically HR and Finance - both now substantial divisions within the company.

Growth like this doesn't happen unless there's something very persuasive about the company's proposition.
