In March 2004, three recruiters decided that they’d had enough of the traditional recruitment model. Having worked for a large generic agency for several years, they felt there was room in the market for a much more stimulating company – one that was based on quality and honesty rather than commodity and sleight of hand.
These three recruiters wanted to provide a service that was more akin to that of a sports or theatrical agent and chose contract project management as an area that could support such an enterprise.
Practicus was founded with the explicit aim of building a premium quality recruitment brand for interim Project Managers across Business, IT and HR. It was an untried business model but one that has experienced unprecedented growth.
In just three years, Practicus has expanded from its initial members to 46 staff. Furthermore, the turnover has rocketed from a standing start to a turnover of £21.4 million in 2007.
Growth like this doesn’t happen unless there’s something very persuasive about the company’s proposition.
If you believe that recruitment can be different... If you appreciate the value of having project staff with the right expertise and experience... And if you want a quality-driven recruitment service with an honest and tranparent relationship... Then this company was designed, built and delivered for you.
